About this source
BitMEX has been publishing monthly proof-of-reserves attestations since 2021, the longest continuous series of any major Bitcoin exchange. Each PoR YAML carries the full multisig redeem script, the satoshi balance, and the snapshot block height. All 126 addresses are P2SH multisigs vanity-mined to the 3BMEX prefix, which makes them machine-distinguishable from other exchange addresses on casual inspection.
How we got the data
Direct ingest from BitMEX's published PoR YAML. Per-snapshot block height preserved in metadata so a downstream consumer can pin a balance to a specific snapshot.
Why this confidence
Direct disclosure by the exchange operator, signed and published monthly. Highest-trust label class we ship.
License & attribution
Operator publishes for transparency. We retain snapshot block heights for historical audit; downstream users should cite the snapshot date when reproducing balances.
